  • Gallery Tour "Joan Miró Illustrated Books" Perhaps more so than any other modern artist, Catalan-born painter Joan Miró (1893-1983) embraced the power and beauty of the illustrated book. This exhibit includes a selection from twelve publications of individual book pages accompanied by translations of passages from the corresponding texts. Some of his abstract illustrations are for poems from authors such as William Butler Yeats, Tristan Tzara, and others, evoking the spirit and rhythm of the poetry while offering his own interpretation of the text. The tour will be led by Art Educator Lucinda Edinberg.
